Kutumb Sahay (Family Assistance) Gujarat: The main breadwinner should be a family member whose income includes a large portion of the family's total income. The death of the breadwinner was to occur at the age of 18 and under the age of 60.

The woman in the family, who is a homemaker, is also considered a ‘breadwinner’ under this scheme. The family of the deceased will qualify as the family living below the poverty line.

The main advantage of the NFBS is its financial support for the beneficiaries who rely on it. Although emotional loss or depression cannot be replaced by anything, financial assistance can make life easier for the family of the deceased, especially those living below the poverty line.
