To check you need to open Incometax website https://www1.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-FilingGS/Services/AadhaarPreloginStatus.html. After opening it you will see two boxes. In one box you will have to enter your Aadhaar number and in the second box you will be asked for a pen number. Enter the page number and click on View link support status.


Clicking on it will link to your Aadhaar card page and you will get a message of success. If the Aadhaar and the page are not linked, you will see the status as follows. This will let you know that your PAN card is not linked due to this.


If the page and the support link are not there, you can remove the request to link it again. You can also link to it by visiting Intex's website. To link PAN and Aadhaar via SMS send UIDPAN <12 digit Aadhaar number> <10 digit PAN> and to 567678 or 561561


Those who have not linked the PAN card to Aadhaar, will have to pay a fine of up to Rs 1,000 for linking it after March 31. Apart from this, PAN can also be deactivated and bank work can be stopped.
