Solar Rooftop Yojana Gujarat
The Gujarat government has launched the Gujarat Residential Solar Roofing Scheme under the Solar Energy Policy to promote the use of green energy and reduce traditional energy. The plan provides subsidies for the installation and maintenance of solar panels. The state government has formulated a solar energy policy and wants to ensure that most residential houses manufacture switches for solar power. The Central Government along with the State Government provides subsidy for installation of solar PV systems from 1KW to 10KW on rooftop. Governments are planning to meet the target by 31 March Gujarati Energy Development Agency (GEDA) will implement the scheme.

30% subsidy for installation of solar panels by the Government of India
Up to Rs. 10,000 / KW subsidy by Gujarat government
Low / zero electricity bill: The solar electricity generated will be adjusted against the electricity provided by DISCOM.
Who can apply for eligibility / solar rooftop subsidy?
The scheme is applicable only to residential houses and apartments in the state of Gujarat.
Applicant should have residential property in his name
Minimum 100 sq / ft shade free area is required, it will be used for generation of 1KW solar power
Gujarat Solar Rooftop Scheme Application Form and How to Apply?
Applications for the grant and installation of rooftop solar PV systems can only be made at GEDA selected vendors
These vendors have application forms and applications can only be made with them
Authorized Solar Agency to Find List of GEDA Empaneled Vendors for Solar Rooftop Project
Note: The official list of approved vendors is always provided on the official website of GEDA. Always ensure that these vendors can only provide subsidy to the government
Fill the form, provide other documents with signature
Returns the form duly filled in to the seller
Make sure your payment is made only for the discounted amount and not for the entire amount
For maintenance of solar installation the seller and the beneficiaries will have to make an agreement of Rs. 50 stamp paper

Documents Required for Solar Rooftop Scheme - Gujarat
Solar System Commission Report Singed by Vendor, Beneficiary and DISCOM Officer
Bill payment / certificate from vendor for rooftop solar system setup
Over 10KW setup: certificate for charging allowed by CEI
Setup less than 10KW: Electrical supervisor or contractor certificate
Joint installation report that provides information about the installation signed by the beneficiary and the listed vendor
Note: The seller will provide most of these documents, you need to sign it. To get subsidy, seller only has to submit to GEDA. The applicant is only required to fill in the form and provide a signature.
