If you are going to buy a house for the first time then there is good news for you. For the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government has extended the credit linked subsidy scheme till 31 March 2021. More than 2.50 lakh middle class families will get its benefit.
Let us tell you that the objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide housing to people belonging to the lower income group in the country in urban or rural areas. Under this scheme, CLSS or credit linked subsidy is given to first time home buyers. This means that interest subsidy is being given on home loans for buying a house. The scheme was implemented on 25 June 2015.
Start booking in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
The Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council has opened bookings for 3516 PMAY houses in 19 cities of the region from 1 September. The poor will get this house for only Rs 3.50 lakh. A total of 3516 houses will be booked under this. Booking has started for maximum 816 houses in Lucknow. Those who want to buy a house under this scheme can apply online before 15 October.
These are the terms of a home purchase
Not everyone can buy a house under this scheme. Only those whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh will be given a house under this booking. The poor of the state will get a house for only Rs 3.50 lakh. He will have to pay this amount in 3 years. Earlier, the UP Housing Development Council had proposed to provide houses on a 5-year installment, but this has been reduced to 3 years. Under the scheme, the carpet area of the house will be 22.77 square meters and the super area 34.07 square meters.
