ESIC extends grant to pregnant women

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation has decided to increase the financial grant to pregnant women. ESIC has announced that if pregnant women cannot get maternity services in ESIC hospitals, they will now be given financial assistance of Rs 7,500 instead of Rs 2,500.
The Ministry of Labor and Employment has issued a notification saying that the amount will be increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500 under Section 56-A of the Employees State Insurance Corporation Rules 1950.
