Google Indic Keyboard  A new way to type messages type in your native language on Android




Google Indic Keyboard allows you to type messages. new update on social networks, and create email in your native language on your Android phone. It currently includes the following keyboards:

 - English keyboard
 - Assamese keyboard ((s মীয় aa)
 - Bengali keyboard (াাংলা)
 - Gujarati keyboard (Gujarati)
 - Hindi keyboard (Hindi)
 - Kannada keyboard (ಕನ್ನಡ)
 - Malayalam keyboard (മലയാ alam ം)
 - Marathi keyboard (Marathi)
 - Odia Keyboard (ଓଡ଼ିଆ)
 - Punjabi keyboard (Punjabi)
 - Tamil keyboard () ்)
 - Telugu Keyboard (Telugu)

On your phone, if you can read your language in its original script, you can use the Google Indic keyboard to input your language; Otherwise your phone cannot support your language.

Google Indicator supports various modes of keyboard input:

 - Transliteration mode - Get output in your native language by spelling the pronunciation using English letters (for example, "Namaste" -> "Namaste").

 - Native new Keyboard Mode  Type directly in native script.

 - Handwriting mode currently Google Indic Keyboard For Gujarati Typing available for Hindi only Write directly on your phone screen.

 - Hinglish mode - If you choose "Hindi" as an input language, the English keyboard will suggest both English and Hinglish words.

How can I enable it and set it as the default new keyboard.
 - 5.x and newer versions on Android:
Open Settings -> Language and Input, under the "Keyboard and Input Methods" section, go to Current Keyboard -> Choose Keyboard -> Check "Google Indic Keyboard" -> Go back to "Language and Input" -> Current Keyboard - When typing "Select" English and Indic Languages   (Google Indic Keyboard) "in the input box, you can also change the default input method by clicking on the keyboard icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.

 - 4.x on Android:
Open Settings -> Language and Input, under the "Keyboard and Input Method" section, check Google Indic Keyboard, then click Default and select "Google Indic Keyboard" in the "Choose Input Method" dialog.
