Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani had yesterday announced a loan of one lakh rupees under the Atmanabirar Gujarat scheme, today a detailed guideline has been issued. After Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi spoke of self-reliant India and various packages were announced by the Union Finance Minister, the self-sufficient Gujarat Sahay Yojana was announced by sensitive Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani.
One million people will be benefited from this scheme. Loans have also been arranged from banks under the scheme. Banks will pass the loan only on application basis. A loan of Rs 1 lakh will be available at an annual interest rate of 3%.
While 5 percent annual interest will be paid by the state government, interest and principal will not have to be paid for the first six months, the chief minister said. The loan will be available to middle class, electricity, construction workers, small traders, traders, hawkers, rickshaw pullers. Loan forms will be available free of cost from cooperatives and cooperative banks. There will be no stamp duty on this loan. Those who are engaged in any business from January 1, 2020, will be able to get this loan.
