 Modi cabinet's major decision to launch in the country amidst farmers' agitation PM Wi-Fi access interface


In the midst of the ongoing agitation by the farmers regarding the agricultural law, a Union Cabinet meeting was held in Delhi today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the meeting, Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Santosh Gangwar informed the cabinet on the decisions taken in the meeting.

Prime Wi-Fi access interface will be launched in the country

Got green light to open 1 crore center


According to Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, the government will open 10 million data centers in the country. The scheme is named Prime Minister's Wi-Fi Access Interface, which will revolutionize Wi-Fi in the country.


Government will open a public data office


Under this, the government will open a Public Data Office (PDO), which will not require any license. Any existing store will be converted into a data office. The government will be allowed to open centers for data offices, data aggregators, application systems in 7 days.


Fiber connectivity will also be added


Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that fiber connectivity will also be added to the islands of Lakshadweep. Connectivity will be provided from Kochi to 11 islands of Lakshadweep in 1000 days.


Approval of Self-Employed India Employment Scheme


Union Minister Santosh Gangwar told in a press conference that by 2020-2023 a self-sufficient India employment scheme will be implemented in the country at a total cost of Rs 22,000 crore. About 58.5 lakh employees will be benefitted under this scheme. From March 2020 to next year, EPF contribution of job seekers will be given by the government. The government will contribute 24 percent EPF to a company with less than 1,000 employees.

USOF Plan Approved

According to Santosh Gangwar, when the Modi government came to power, there were 60 million jobs in the organized sector, which has now increased to 100 million. In addition, the Union Cabinet has approved the USOF scheme in two districts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam.
