Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched three pension schemes for the unorganized sector. Farmers, traders and workers will benefit from these pension schemes. Among them, registration in PM-Shramyogi Mahadhan Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Manav Dhan) is the highest. As of 3 August, 44,27,264 people have joined. While half of its people have participated in the farmers' scheme. As soon as they reach the age of 60, farmers will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month. If the beneficiary receives a pension and dies, 50% of the amount will be given as pension to her husband.

Prime Minister Modi launched the scheme on March 5, 2019 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. While the registration for this started from 15 February. The scheme is the largest monthly wage and pension scheme for the unorganized sector workers.
Organized sector or Employees Provident Fund (EPFO), National Pension Scheme (NPS) or State Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) or income tax paying members cannot avail the scheme. This scheme is for those below Rs 15,000 per month. This scheme is for 42 crore workers of the country.
Top 5 states with nominations
Leading Haryana workers in agriculture as well as industry have registered maximum registration under this scheme. So far, 8,01,580 people have joined it. The second number is Uttar Pradesh, where 6,02,533 people are registered. The third is Maharashtra where 5,84,556 people have joined. Gujarat ranks fourth with 2,07,063 nominations and Chhattisgarh at 3,67,848 workers.
Servants, drivers, plumbers, cobblers, tellers, rickshaw drivers, laundresses and farm workers will be able to take advantage of this. The premium will be Rs 55 to Rs 200 depending on the age. The government will add that much money.
