At present, the demand for natural agricultural products has increased due to the damage caused by overuse of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Then the government started the scheme to ensure that farmers turn to natural farming based on cows.



A provision of Rs 32 crore has been made for various activities of the famous desi gir and concrete cow breeding of Gujarat. A provision of Rs 27 crore has been made for the Chief Minister Free Animal Treatment Scheme. Karuna Ambulance 1962 service has been started in 31 cities for the treatment of manga animals. A provision of Rs 13 crore has been made to improve service in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Mehsana.


                                                 
There are several institutions operating through cages for the care of cows in the state. The contribution of these institutions is great in protecting the cow sheds of Gujarat during the good Narsa years. A new scheme to help pay for such organizations has been announced. Under the scheme, outright upgradation of registered cages will provide basic facilities such as sheds for cows, godowns for fodder storage, tubewell facilities for water, installation of solar roof tops, micro irrigation in fodder plots, sprinklers.
